NEW CANSEC Head Office Opening in Simcoe

MAY 27 & 28, 2017-Handcuff & Baton Certification Course
Canadian Security Training is proud to announce the next Handcuff & Baton two-day certification course. Participants must have a valid Ontario Security Guard licence and Emergency First Aid. Courses are taught by member of our Use of Force (UOF) Team who are all current or former police UOF Instructors who have taught at the Ontario, Canadian, OPP, Toronto and CAF Police Colleges. FEBRUARY 10, 2017-CANSEC Officially Launches UOF Standards Committee
Canadian Security Training is proud to announce the launch of our Use of Force Standards Committee. Headed up by the UOF Director, the committee is composed of members of the UOF Team, Program Co-ordinator and Director of Education and Training. Continuing on with establishing industry standards for private security Use of Force Education and Training, the UOF Standards Committee will meet quarterly and will set all policies and training standards for both Initial and Annual Re-Certification.
FEBRUARY 6, 2017-Security Company Fined $70,000 For Non-Compliance With Workplace Violence Standards
Security companies need to take notice. You are legally obligated and must fully comply with all Legislation and Regulations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA). This is in addition to complying with all requirements under the PSISA. Many security companies have misinformation that they do not have to comply with the OHSA & associated Regulations. Security companies are not exempt. You must have a Health & Safety program.
