Setting The Standard!

Starting Your Security Career

The Challenge in Finding A Job

Searching for a full-time or part-time security position can be extremely frustrating.  Not only can it be very time-consuming, but taking time off work or away from school to attend interviews can be extremely challenging.  Not to mention, the cost of gas, parking and transit.

At Canadian Security Careers we specialize in recruiting and placement of full-time, part-time and temporary or seasonal security positions, such as special events. Unlike temporary job agencies or online ads, our focus is strictly on the security industry.  As the security industry is becoming more specialized, employers are looking for qualified staff who meet specific hiring requirements.

Did You Know The TOP Reasons Candidates Are NOT Successful In The Application Process?

x  candidate fails to meet the minimum hiring requirements

x falsified or inaccurate documentation

x  security licence expired or invalid

x  first aid certification expired, invalid or incomplete

x  suspended driver's licence

What We Do

Working on behalf of Employers, we connect them with qualified security candidates.  As part of the Applicant Screening Process, candidates are pre-screened to ensure they meet all of the mandatory hiring requirements.  This includes valid security guard licences, First Aid certification and all other required training, such as WHMIS, Workplace Violence and Smart Serve, as well as Handcuff and Baton Certification.

What Is Involved in the Applicant Screening Process?

  • application skills assessment

  • full behavioural interview

  • security licence verification

  • first aid certification verification

  • personal background reference check

  • employment reference check

  • criminal record check

  • driver's licence abstract

Only those applicants who successfully pass all elements of the Pre-Screening process will be eligible to go into the Canadian Security Careers candidate pool and be presented to potential employers.

 A Driving Force

 In Your Career.

How Does This Benefit You?

As your partner in the recruiting and selection process, we save you valuable time and money by Pre-Screening and Pre-Qualifying applicants.  Not only does this include a comprehensive skills assessment, interview and background check, but each candidate is required to complete an online Profile.

You maintain your Profile on an ongoing basis.  As you complete further education, additional courses and/or training certification, you simply update your Profile.  It is then used to assess your qualifications and compatibility with potential Employers on an ongoing basis.

Candidates receive updates on upcoming job opportunities or they can apply directly from the Canadian Security Careers webpage.  Interested candidates go through secondary screening and qualified Applicants are connected with potential Employers, making the application process more efficient for everyone.  Ultimately, saving you valuable time and money.

FREE to all Canadian Security Careers applicants is a 1/2 day Seminar on How To Prepare For A Job Interview.   Our experienced instructors take you through the steps of an interview process and teach you valuable skills and effective techniques to successfully prepare you for your next job interview.
